S.J. Barrick Limited started business at Goxhill, North Lincolnshire in 1924, when founder Sydney Joseph Barrick took produce from local farmers to market in Kingston-upon-Hull using a horse and cart. He would sell the produce on the farmers’ behalf and bring back goods for local businesses and traders.

A century on, the company remains family owned and run, having grown from that small one-man enterprise into a substantial haulage and warehousing operation running over 40 goods vehicles and 30,000 sq ft of covered warehousing.
